Now, it’s also the basis for her Honors thesis as she takes on the challenge of redesigning one of skateboarding's biggest and most challenging competitive structures: the MegaRamp.

Built upon current and emerging problems in science, technology and society, the Honors Program offers unique academic challenges and opportunities for Clarkson's most promising students. This focus on real-world problems defines us, much as DNA defines all living organisms, while our animating spirit comes from the talent, energy and potential of our students.

Enrollment is restricted to 30 per class year. The program builds critical problem-solving skills through special classes and research experiences; fosters collaborative relationships between students and faculty; and explores connections between academic fields and modern society. Honors is a gateway to a multitude of opportunities that include internships, research experiences elsewhere, fellowships, graduate schools, study abroad, and jobs.
