Clarkson University invites applications for a health sciences librarian who will serve as liaison to the Health Sciences Branch of the University Libraries. We seek an innovative, friendly, and enthusiastic professional with excellent collection development, research, reference, instruction, and outreach abilities.
Located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains and the six-million-acre Adirondack Park, Clarkson University is New York State’s highest ranked small research institution with rigorous programs in engineering, arts, sciences, business and health sciences. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program; 1-3 years of professional experience in an academic health sciences library or equivalent professional experience; Interest in implementing emerging technologies, programs, and services; Excellent oral, written, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; Strong service orientation; Commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Preferred Qualifications: A degree in a health sciences-related field; Previous library managerial experience; Evidence of interest in professional involvement in medical or academic librarianship.
Salary: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; comprehensive benefits package including medical and dental benefits; part-time non-tenured position. This position reports directly to the Director of Libraries.
