The Clarkson School (TCS) offers a rich and supportive learning environment for highly motivated high school students.  Unlike many early-entrance college programs, The Clarkson School is a full-time residential program offering a real community living and learning experience.  Clarkson School students take the same courses as Clarkson University first-year students and enjoy the same unlimited access to athletics and recreation, the Student Success, Diversity and Inclusion office, and clubs and activities.

Who Attends The Clarkson School?

Clarkson School students are academic high achievers who have progressed beyond their high school curriculum and are ready for a fresh challenge. Independent by nature, Clarkson School students are captivated by the prospect of living away from home in a supportive community of students with the same goals and passions.

TCS boasts a diverse student body, with 60% hailing from New York state and 40% from across the U.S. and all around the globe. Admission is selective, with the majority of Clarkson School students in the top 10% of their high school class.

What to Expect from The Clarkson School

Attending The Clarkson School is similar to being a first-year student at Clarkson University. You will take a full course load and have the opportunity to join student clubs, academic and social organizations, and sports teams. As opposed to the typical Clarkson University first-year experience, Clarkson School students live in their own residence hall with a dedicated staff of house advisors (HAs). This extra layer of support ensures that Clarkson School students make a smooth transition to college life.
